I meet u* Iranian Taxi driver

Almost a month I didn’t declare my off days, all reserve for holidays going back home. I was in happy mood that evening, pulling my big luggage by the side way to catch a cap, hopefully able to catch the KTM train to K.L Central for that last evening train back to kedah. The dark evening was approaching, yet I still kept on bargaining price with most of the taxi drivers which past by, because they usually didn’t offer a fair price or cheated on customers at my area, Sunway. I got frustrated from time to time and learn from couple of good drivers about the price they usually tread around that area.

I had declined three drivers, and the time didn’t allow me to do anymore good. So I just gave up and stopped another taxi…. asked him how much it takes to my destination he offered RM16, I felt like drop died, imagine that was more then my half day salary not added with other expensed and the Du’king donuts I wanted to buy for my family…hahahah instantly I bargain with he…why so expensive? Other drives just offer me RM6, the KTM station is so near from here?! Hahahah actually I didn’t know where the KTM station located is… I just pick the information from a Map as first timer heading for the train station hahahah. Well this man is good in doing business gave me all sort of explanation…comment on my luggage was big and heavy. I just keep on barging with him but started to move myself into his taxi hhahaaha. Cause running out of time!

Fairly as we took off, we started chatting, asked him …are you a local guy here? To my surprise he say no but was from Kampar….He migrated from Iran to Malaysia started his early young life in that small town but later he move to this big city in order to earn a better living. Ah! A good topic for a chat especially all about Kampar, one of my beloved home…sharing my memories been a student there…letting him know about the developed landscape happening over there. Cause he didn’t went back there almost for a decade now.

He asked me…. why a young girl like me traveling alone at this foggy dark hours….well I don’t wish to bother my dad to pick me up in the middle of night, because if go back by bus I will arrive at midnight. If I pick up train even though the hours take longer yet I can be home on the next early morning to greet everyone. Then we talked about jobs…proudly saying to me…today he can afford to have his own taxi and to send his family to India for a holiday trip, they are enjoying over there and I’m now driving next to you…we laughed…
Finally we arrive at the KTM station, he say …I should be careful traveling alone, picking out my luggage from his taxi then he said I’m a good kid, so he decided to give me a discount …hahahaha… just RM 10 for his service. I was so happy with his generosity and he still keeps on helping me pull the heavy luggage.

Somehow when waiting for my train I kept wonder about him...life is never easy… as everyone try to make a living out here…may be that little discount had made him earn lesser for his kids…eventually I felt a caring fatherhood from him as well as toward my own dad…. Sometimes people acted greedily… selfishly…because they were being too busily taking care of their own needs or beloved ones…if someone have done wrong to us…I guess we can just take a deep breath and let it off just like a forgiveness….in order to make our own life more easier as well as for others… and continue to believe that we might someday hoop on a good cap set off another new journey. * For you information the taxi services around the Sunway has being improve hahahaha
