I meet you* Japanese customer

I love my job especially working on hands with food and Customer who turned and took their time to dine in and indulges themselves with the good foods and ambiance. So I finally get myself landed on the Pizza Hut Restaurant’s job, on one of my training, been send to one of the busiest high end, fast moving outlet in Sunway. There, experience my craziest adventure ever. Everyday the outlet was full of people and the customers mostly were so demanding. Sometimes I need to deal with some many things in just one short of time…but I really enjoy my hours of labor there…no matter how the preparation set up yet we always hit to the rock bottom at noon….

But an experience which I wish to bear in mind as always and hope I can share with others about it…

At noon as the ordering keep on coming in, the restaurant was fully pack. I was working as one of the supervisors, rushing on to help up my team members and ensuring the customers receive what they order and pick up any customer complain, each was like a case waiting me to resolve them. But it was so tied up that day, the kitchen mix up the orders; the front lines face so much difficulty just to walk around. Struggling with my own pace …speed up in decision making… commands toward my team…my speech…my writing getting uglier….my hairs a bit mess …my facial expressions getting more tense …I guess hahahah. So stress up.

I use to look all over my area…an old man made a gesture to me….there was a table of 3 Japanese family members…as I move and approach them…aquatinted them…to my surprise the old man smiling with a kind face, opens up a regular size pizza box but inside the pizza missing a slice…I was so shocked and felt embarrass…just can’t find any words to said except …I’m very sorry of what have happen…definitely this is our responsibility and can you please give me another 5 minute to make a new free one for you and accept my apologize…He just smiled to me again and agreed by saying he understands…I took off the box and headed to my kitchen stuff…on my way back…I was so anger and burst with a lot of thoughts on how I’m going to fire my stuffs…and look for the one who is responsible for that… a pizza take about 8 minute to cook and I promised 5…a trick that my trainer taught me…but to made it happen I need more…that time I can felt myself burning like a dragon hahhaa because I felt that we had been so irresponsible and looked what we had done to our own restaurant image. Thinking of the Japanese people would go back to their country and laugh at Malaysian…my thoughts kept on hammering…..

But something strange enough happen as I slower down my steps of walking toward the kitchen, the box still in my hands, somehow my thoughts slowly turn to that old man smile and his words…a simple forgiveness…a kind gesture of signing he understand and see our situation…another trust and another round of patience he willing to tried on after a disappointment. Finally I was there at the kitchen window; all my angry thoughts and bombard words subside. I just open up the box and show it to the stuffs looked on their eyes, order another express pizza and walk off with a smile to continue my task…he made me see too…a need of forgiveness…a kind gesture…signing of I understand my teams …thanks God for this wonderful experience….
