I meet you* My bus driver

There was a person, I been planning too long to write about him, for years now I almost forgotten my plan. He was my secondary school Bus driver. I felt so gratefully to have him as my bus driver, as the matter at fact he was much more like a care taker for me. Driving an old mini bus without an air-conditioner, and the interior yellow lather sites…..

I used to call him “ane” an elder brother in Tamil, I still can hear the roaming sound of his bus past by my Taman early in the morning, and sometimes we meet on the road gesture to each other. I still remember his bus fares 20 sen per day then changed to 30 sen up till I finish form six.

Don’t know why he always seem to preserve the front site for me as well as for one of my friend sitting beside him, we liked that site too much, cause it had the big view in front. No need to stand with other or stuffed ourselves like Tuna can. This Ane always look cool and didn’t said much except for “masuk…masuk…diri dalam…tepi sikit amoi” hahhaa but sometime I can sense his happy mood …which was his smiles. Soft spoken person but he would sometime get mad and yell to the naughty boys who stand near the door. As for me …always peacefully enjoy my 15 minutes journey home.

He was a responsible and caring person…know why? I never had to worried about raining days…or his bus broke down …or myself been late if the teacher decide to detent us for extra minutes….during raining he would drive extra miles to pick us up and drop us inside the school, when his bus broke down, he would come with a van or assigns his friend another bus driver for back up. Waited for extra minutes until he was sure all the familiar faces get on the bus …Very punctual wearing a PVC watch with a scar on his arm and drives in courtesy manner. I love especially he passed by one of the red rocky lane, it was like a coyote ride, I would chicly smile to him and he would too. Sometime I felt stress or sad with results he would ask and had a few said on it…

I’m forever grateful to him, sometime I think without his years of service and labors of love, safely deliver it, I guess where would I be or who I am today?, as my parent were not available of sending me to school. I still remember he gave me a ride on my day to get the STPM result…. In the later days I tried to get myself to write about another two special drivers if the time allow….
