I meet U* German Guest

I meet u* German guest

I was assigned to work at the breakfast buffer dessert counter, one of my morning shifts. My tasks there are keeping that counter spotless clean, assisting the resort guest cut their breakfast breads, scoping yogurts, making waffle and pancake. Sound easy tasks for me right? But no if the guests were too many. If they ordered too many pancake…asked too many questions hahahah and to add up with my clumsiness or the waffle pan couldn’t retain a good heat all the disaster for me.

Sometime I would spontaneously first apologize and let them know I was a trainee whenever greeting the guests before had I hit on any chaos, too afraid to ruin someone breakfast mood, cause myself love and enjoy breakfast very much. Well I hope their expectation on me were not set too high, afraid they will disappointed if my pancake or waffle turn out of shape or didn’t cooked as they wished at home. Mostly the guest would like put on some details and specification during ordering the pancake or waffle. Guess I always lack of confident…

One morning there was a German guest walked up to my counter ordered a pancake, I greeted him but as he was waiting for his pancake so I begin to apologize again about my pancake then asked how about his stay here. To his replied …gosh he made my day so sweet with his words…it’s fine enough with your pancake, just like my home made, then I just replied with a light smile looking down on my pancake, but then he added again….with a smile like yours it made most of us want to come back again, don’t you agreed with me, Eileen? Right, Eileen? Asking me with my name on it, I was so happy a person praise about my smile but the most he pronounced my name correctly …Eileen… which stated on my name tag

That little compliment, help me to value myself more, every where we can shower good encouragement words to one another, an acknowledgement, recognition. Simple steps to sow the good seed in everyone heart… at the past I only know little about my name which means enjoyable and pleasure but later days I found out more about my name origin which is from Irish German no wonder He can get it right and my name means… Light…. Guess I should be going on lighting up everyone I meet…..thanks to this special person. Thanks to my Dear Lord too, who everyday lighting up me…everyone has a name…a value…a purpose…and the best part of it we are able to help each other realizing them.
